Kurdish community members prepare and deliver lunches to NHS staff

We are grateful to members of the Kurdish community who liaise with us and send us reports about volunteering to help the essential workers in Oxford over the past few weeks.

Earlier this month, Hawar and other volunteers delivered packed lunches to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford to say thank you to the NHS staff for their hard work. They also produced face masks which were distributed to local charities. They are continuing to support their local community in this difficult time.

Today, thanks to Mohamad at the Duhok News Agents on Iffley Road, we delivered another 60 lunch packs for the staff at the John Radcliffe Hospital and to some local community. Each meal contains a main meat or vegetarian dish, a salad, fdessert, fruit, water and a soft drink. As members of the Kurdish community in Oxford, we are proud to make a small contribution to thank those who continue working hard to save lives and fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
